SPRINGFIELD- The Springfield Art Museum closed four months ago, ahead of its three-year expansion and renovation project. The museum is getting creative to keep the arts alive in the meantime.

The open house is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Springfield Art Museum, 1111 E. Brookside Drive. The program starts at 2 p.m. and is anticipated to take 30 to 45 minutes.
