The Las Vegas Raiders were at a crossroads a few weeks ago. After a season and a half, they fired Antonio Pierce, who had a record of 9-17 over 26 games. The team would waste no time searching for a new head coach.

Carroll's energy is known and obvious, but he cranked it up a notch while taking on the challenge of coaching the Las Vegas Raiders.

Pete Carroll knows they can. "I'm so fired up that we're doing this together. It's going to be unique, and they're going to be surprised what comes," Pete Carroll said at his introductory news conference. "Maxx [Crosby], send that message man. We’re going to come find you guys and get this thing rolling as soon as possible."
