Pittsburgh-area EMS, police and river rescue crews rescued a dog that fell over a hill into the Ohio River on Monday near West Carson Street. The dog did not receive any injuries. According to the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department, the dog's owners attempted to rescue it with the help of bystanders for nearly 30 minutes.

The dog's owner, assisted by bystanders, had attempted to get the dog out of the water for nearly 30 minutes without success before notifying police, the post said.

Pittsburgh Public Safety says Police and EMS were dispatched after a dog fell over a hillside behind the 1600 block of West Carson street near tied-up barges.
