Laguna Beach Fire Department Chief Niko King praised the Orange County Fire Authority and neighboring departments for helping. "It was great we had air resources come in a few minutes," King said.

The fire began in the city of Laguna Beach at about 2:15 p.m. local time on July 7 and grew to four acres, threatening nearby homes, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
