The Jets were always going to have options at No. 7; they have needs all over the roster, and especially for a big playmaker. And they could have picked Penn State tight end Tyler Warren, or Arizona receiver Tetairoa McMillan: both were still on the board.

The Jets used first-round picks on edge rushers in two of the past three drafts, and Will McDonald and Jermaine Johnson should form a nice duo off the edge this season for the Jets. That means you should not expect the Jets to take an edge rusher at No. 7, but they need to add to the position at some point in this draft.
