Flags across the United States and at U.S. facilities worldwide will be flown at half-staff to honor the memory of His Holiness Pope Francis.

President Trump ordered flags across the United States to be flown at half-staff out of respect for Pope Francis, who died April 21, on Easter Monday. The pope, 88, had battled respiratory problems since February, spending weeks in the hospital with bilateral pneumonia and other health issues.

Both Texas and United States flags are half-staff to honor the death of Pope Francis. The flags will remain lowered through his internment.
