Amazon has introduced a new virtual on-premises file server gateway for its AWS Storage Gateway service, enabling local application to access cloud storage.

Later this month, AWS will restrict access to Amazon FSx File Gateway, a low-latency managed storage solution with local caching designed for on-premises deployment.
