A very strange caution in the NASCAR Chicago Street Race just as Shane van Gisbergen passed Chase Briscoe for the lead. Due to an ambulance needing to cross the track, officials had to get the caution out and slow down the race.

Shane van Gisbergen won the pole for Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at the Chicago Street Course (2 p.m. ET, TNT Sports).

Van Gisbergen has won the pole for Sunday's Grant Park 165. The 36-year-old New Zealander turned a lap at 88.338 mph on a tricky 2.2-mile course that was made more treacherous by temperatures in the 90s Fahrenheit on Saturday.
