Ted Scott, Scottie Scheffler’s caddie, took some time Sunday to address his recent absence from the FedEx Cup playoffs. In an Instagram post, Scott told his followers that he briefly stepped away from golf due to a family emergency. With Scott back home in Louisiana, Brad Payne stepped in as Scheffler’s caddie.

Scottie Scheffler’s trusted caddie Ted Scott stepped away from his man during the final round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship two weeks ago and was missing again last week during Scheffler’s victory at the BMW Championship.

Josh Carpenter of Sports Business Journal reports, "Golf viewership from Sunday: NBC draws 3.5M for the final round of the BMW Championship (Scheffler). That's up 43% from 2.5M last year for Keegan Bradley. Prior two years were 3.0M (Hovland on CBS) and 2.8M (Cantlay on NBC)."
