On Wednesday, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan told KNBR radio that Robinson has been suspended for the first three games of the 2025 NFL season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Robinson signed a two-year, $9.5 million contract with the 49ers back in March after a two-year stint with the NFC West rival Los Angeles Rams. In his eight-year NFL career, which also included stops with the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens, Robinson has averaged 31 catches, 376 yards, and three touchdowns per season.
