ESPN's Chris Low reported Monday that new Tennessee quarterback Joey Aguilar is joining the Volunteers on a NIL deal worth roughly $1.2 million. That's half of what Tennessee was set to pay former signal-caller Nico Iamaleava.

Nico Iamaleava officially committed to play football at UCLA last week, returning to his home state after spending his first two seasons of college football at Tennessee. Iamaleava entered the transfer portal after skipping Tennessee's practice the day before the team’s spring game,

Iamaleava also confirmed his commitment to the Bruins in a post on Instagram. "My journey at UT has come to an end," Iamaleava wrote. "This decision was incredibly difficult, and truthfully, not something I expected to make this soon.
