Manmohan Singh, the former Indian prime minister widely regarded as the architect of the country’s economic reform program, has been cremated after a state funeral.

India’s former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has died at the age of 92, according to statement from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Singh was known as a mild-mannered technocrat and was widely regarded as the architect of India’s economic liberalisation.
