Iowa wrestling: Stephen Buchanan wins NCAA championship in lone season with Hawkeyes
The Hawkeyes ' senior 197-pounder blazed through a tough bracket to secure his first national title, capping off his run with a X-X win over Penn State's Josh Barr on Saturday night. It was the second time this season Buchanan has defeated Barr, previously doing so during a dual with Penn State in a 4-1 decision.

Barr lost his 197-pound title bout Saturday night to Iowa senior star Stephen Buchanan in front of President Donald Trump and a packed Wells Fargo Center Crowd. It was his second defeat to Buchanan this season for Barr, who finishes him first PSU season with a 20-4 record.
