July 4 is a federal holiday, meaning all major banks (and pretty much all the minor ones) will be closed. You can, however, still use ATM machines to get cash or put money into your account, and online banking is open, though many transactions won’t process until Monday morning.

Government offices, post offices, courts, and schools are closed for the Fourth of July in the U.S. U.S. stock markets and banks are also closed, with limited FedEx and UPS services.

If you’re one of the millions celebrating July 4th, you will be glad to know Walmart is open. Walmart stores will be open regular hours - typically 6 a.m.-11 p.m. for Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets. Some services may be limited on the holiday, however, so it’s always best to check ahead.
