At least four tornado sightings across Southeast Texas can be confirmed as tornadoes based on radar and public reporting on Saturday, the National Weather Service said, only days after an earlier twister outbreak on Thursday had damaged several Houston-area homes.

Multiple homes were destroyed between Alvin and Liverpool, Texas, when a possible tornado went through the area Saturday afternoon, according to preliminary reports cited by the Storm Prediction Center.

At least four people died, and several were injured as tornadoes hit Texas and the Southeast, disrupting flights and leaving thousands without power Sunday. Over three dozen tornadoes were reported from Texas to Georgia on Friday and Saturday,

A tornado that touched down in Brazoria County, Texas, struck some homes and other structures on Saturday, the authorities said. It was a day of tornado warnings in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
