DALLAS — Ohio State will play Texas in the Cotton Bowl today – Friday, Jan. 10 – in Dallas for the right to play in the national title game. The Buckeyes and Longhorns will play on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.

That wouldn’t be a big deal, but Ohio State and Texas are slated to face each other on Friday night at the Cotton Bowl, which will be played at the very much domed AT&T Stadium.

No. 8 Ohio State and No. 5 Texas are both seeking a chance to end national title droughts -- the Buckeyes’ last national title was 10 years ago and Texas' last national title was 19 years ago. The winner of Friday night’s Cotton Bowl advances to the national title game to play Notre Dame on January 20.
