Davis girls get revenge on Sumner for first state basketball championship
No. 1 Davis beat No. 9 Sumner 61-45, avenging a 67-62 opening-round loss to the Spartans last weekend to secure the first state championship in program history. The Pirates (24-3) start two juniors and three sophomores and will certainly be a threat to repeat next season.
