What is the recommended Summer time dress code to visit the pyramids? I am assuming closed shoes due to the gravel. What about pants vs long shorts? Want to respect where we are going, but know it will be 100F/40C or higher.

ONLY UBER! Taxis are a pain and they scam you. We’re here now and we brought an OLD iPhone and grabbed a 2gb SIM card and have been using UBER which are better drivers in our experience here. Our UBER from the prymids to Memphis Museum says 40-60 Egyptian. Yesterday to Cairo Museum was 45 egyptian (we are staying right at the Prumids) A taxi was $120 egyptian from Cairo here before we learned they have Uber. It’s a game changer but can be difficult with language barrier.... BUT actually it’s better because you set the drop off destination vs a taxi driver not understanding you. Taxi will not tell you they don’t understand. They say yes yes yes and then take you to the wrong place.
