I'm not sure about the 8a.m. question. We arrived by 8:30 I believe before the heat and crowds. As far as the park pass we were told to stick it on the windshield of our car so park rangers could see it and know you have purchased the pass. Not sure what happens if your car doesn't have evidence of a park pass. If traveling on foot or bike possibly just need to have ot on your person.

Also, any idea what is there to do in the national park for a person with limited walking abilities. All I am seeing are rather long walks. There is no point going if we cant do anything. Any ideas?

There are a lot of walks but there is also cruses of the bay that I wish we had time to go on.

I’m unfit. Stopped a few times to rest and take photos. Took us 45 mins to get up there. So worth it though!
