I booked through book me Fiji, the price was around $439FJ for the rafting plus about $60FJ for transport to and from denarau. If I had known I was going to do this I would have booked to stay at Pacific Harbour and walked across the road to Rivers of Fiji office at the cultural centre. From Denarau it makes for a longer day.. but it didn't take away from the excitement on the river. Book it you'll love it

Not sure when the rapids are the biggest, but most likely in the wet season. Note that this is a very gentle white water rafting experience. I've done white water rafting in the Laurentiens north of Montreal in May, and that was brutal. This WWR is, in contrast, open to children 8 years and older. It is a spiritual and magical journey; primarily a leisurely drift down the river, highlighted by intermittent rapids. If you're going to Fiji, don't leave without doing it, even if you prefer more aggressive and challenging Rapids. And the staff are fautless. Just wonderful.
